Class Monitors Association

ARTICLE I: NAME AND PURPOSE
Section 1: The name of this organization shall be the Class Monitors Association.
Section 2: The purpose of the Association is to represent the student body, foster academic integrity, promote class conduct, and provide peer support to enhance the overall student academic experience.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP
Section 1: Membership is open to all international students elected or appointed to serve as class monitors of their class.
Section 2: Members are expected to adhere to the institution’s code of conduct and the values set forth by this Association.
ARTICLE III: EXECUTIVE BOARD
Section 1: Composition. The Executive Board shall consist of the following officers: President, Publicity Officer, Academic Affairs Coordinator, Student Conduct Officer, and Peer Support Coordinator.
Section 2: Executive Board Structure

Section 3: Selection. Officers shall be selected by the Overseas Education College for a term of one academic year.
Section 4: Duties and Responsibilities of Executives.
PRESIDENT
· Preside over all meetings and official functions of the Monitors Association.
· Serve as the official spokesperson for the Association, unless authority is otherwise delegated.
· Act as the primary liaison between the Association and the school administration.
· Supervise the activities of all other executive board members to ensure operational efficiency.
· Delegate tasks and assign specific projects to executive members as required.
PUBLICITY OFFICER
· Convene meetings and record official minutes for all Monitors Association activities and functions.
· Maintain custody of all Association documents, records, and the membership database.
· Manage all formal correspondence on behalf of the Monitors Association.
· Facilitate communication between the Executive Board and other standing committees.
· Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the President.
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS COORDINATOR
· Serve as a confidential point of contact for students experiencing academic challenges.
· Monitor general student academic performance to identify areas requiring support.
· Oversee the implementation and promotion of policies regarding students academic integrity.
· Act as the primary liaison between the Teaching Affairs Office and the Executive Board on all matters concerning student academics.
· Collect and communicate student feedback regarding academic experiences to the Teaching Affairs Office.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by the President.
STUDENT CONDUCT OFFICER
· Establish and maintain behavioral standards to foster a respectful and productive classroom environment.
· Serve as a confidential point of contact for students seeking support for personal difficulties or feelings of isolation.
· Mediate minor interpersonal disputes among students to promote a harmonious and supportive students environment.
· Refer serious conduct or welfare matters promptly to the President or appropriate university authorities.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by the President to support the overall mission of the Association.
PEER SUPPORT COORDINATOR
· Organize regular well-being initiatives, including peer support sessions and stress management workshops.
· Promote awareness of and accessibility to university-provided student support services.
· Draft and enforce a comprehensive Association Code of Conduct to ensure all activities remain safe, inclusive, and stress-free.
· Facilitate a supportive environment that encourages student connection and positive mental health.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by the President.
ARTICLE IV: MEETINGS
Section 1: Regular meetings of the Executive Board shall be held every two weeks to discuss operational progress.
Section 2: General meetings for all class monitors shall be held monthly to facilitate communication and feedback.
Section 3: Emergency meetings shall be called by the president as and when necessary
ARTICLE V: COMMITTEE
Section 1: Academic Standards Committee. This committee shall be chaired by the Academic Affairs Coordinator and include a delegation of members tasked with reviewing academic policies. The committee is responsible for organizing study workshops, facilitating peer-tutoring sessions, and monitoring trends in academic performance to support the student body. The committee shall maintain a record of academic integrity initiatives and report findings to the Executive Board.
Section 2: Student Conduct Committee. This committee shall be chaired by the Student Conduct Officer and is empowered to review and enforce class behavior standards as outlined in the international students manual. The committee will act as a primary mediation body for minor behavioral grievances between students before escalating matters to formal institutional channels. All proceedings of this committee must adhere to strict confidentiality to protect the privacy and reputation of the students involved.
