Clinical Internship In China

Internship in Clinical Medicine is to be conducted after completing all the basic science and clinical courses. It is scheduled from May in any year with a duration of 48 to 52 weeks, including 12 weeks for Internal Medicine, 12 weeks for Surgery, 6 weeks for Gynecology & Obstetrics, 6 weeks for Pediatrics, 2 weeks for Ophthalmology, 2 weeks for Otorhinolaryngology, 2 weeks for Dermatology, 2 weeks for Infectious Diseases, 2 weeks for Emergency and 2 weeks for Radiology. Students who wish to proceed with their Clinical Internship in China should meet the followingrequirements:

1.Pass all semesters courses or have make-up/relearn exams of not more than 18 credit hours.

2.Pass HSK level 4 with a minimum score of 180 or more (mandatory).

3. Submit a proposal letter for internship to the Internship Coordinator.

4.Obtain an acceptance Letter from the Internship Coordinator.

5.Pay a deposit of (2000 RMB) internship fee to the Financial Department of Jiangsu University and submit the receipt to your class monitor before May 8th, 2017.

6.Pay the remaining internship fee before the end of September, 2017. If for any reason any student or group of students have difficulties with regard to their fee should contact their class teacher for a letter of delay fee payment prior to the said date.

7.Attend one (1) month mandatory Medical Chinese Training course and pass the exams at the end of the training. The training course is scheduled from May 8th to May 31st, 2017( to be updated).

8.Students who pass the exams should start their internship on 5th June. If any student or group of students could not pass the exams he/she must take the make-up exams and start the internship later. However, He/she should work extra days to ensure that the require period of the internship is fulfilled.

ClinicalInternshipoutside China

Student should:

1.Pass all semesters courses without any relearn or makeup exams.

2.Pass HSK level four (4) with a minimum score of 180 before graduation.

3. Select a comprehensive teaching hospital with over 500 patient beds.

4.Obtained an introductory letter from the Overseas Education College to the teaching hospital.

5.Submit an acceptance letter from the hospital with an attached introductory letter containing the hospital background information to the Internship Coordinator before the internship.

6.Note that the internship is scheduled from May 15th 2017 to May 11th,2018.

7.Return to China before May 25th,2018.
