Dear Students:

As the best platform of cultural exchange between Chinese and Western, English provides an easy access for students to be a member of the international community. To broaden students’ international perspectives and improve their ability in academic exchanges which is advocated by the project of “Open to the World” in Jiangsu University, the recruitment for Yale Class and Yale Lecture in 2019 autumn is to be launched. This activity aims at sharing some latest information, developing a group of students who are able to integrate into the world and international competition much faster. The details are stated as follow:

1. Organizer:

Youth League Committee, International Exchange and Cooperate Centre, Overseas Education College, Library

2. Training Content:

Yale Class: (for undergraduates)

Group study on international topics interested among undergraduates, and study technique, different cultures in the world, interview technique.

Tutor: Chantelle A. Mcleod

Yale Lecture: (for postgraduates)

Improvement of academic writing and analysis

Tutor: Chantelle A. Mcleod

3. Training Method:

a. Flipped class & instruction from foreign professors throughout the activity.

b. Establish a QQ group and wechat group for daily communication among members.

4. Time &Place:

Time: (Yale class) 6:00pm—7:30pm on Tuesday or Thursday (two batches)

(Yale lecture) 6:00pm—7:30pm on Wednesday

TOTALLY SEVEN WEEKS, STARTING FROM October 22nd, DETAILED SCHEDULE WILL BE UPDATED AFTER THE RECRUITMENT.

Place: Lecture Hall 105 on the 1st floor in Library

5. Recruiting Targets:

Yale Class: all undergraduates

Yale Lecture: all postgraduates

Those who took the class before cannot apply again.

6. Registration Matters:

a. Please send your name, class, students ID number and phone number to 921183415@qq.com before 4:30pm on October 17. Overseas Student Affairs Office will make selection.

b. Registration deadline: October 17th, 2019

c. Restricted number: 10 undergraduates for Yale Class, 10 postgraduates for Yale Lecture.

7. Attention: Yale Class and Yale Lecture are free courses.
