All students residing in the Overseas Apartment during the winter holidays 2016 are advised to take notice of the followings:

    The whole winter vacation is fromJan.16, 2016 to Feb.19, 2016.

    There will be an OEC staff on duty on week day during the holidays. Students that require consultation or assistance from OEC during the winter break are advised to consult the OEC teacher on Duty Roster or your own class teacher.

    Students are advised to recharge their campus card with sufficient money at the reception table or at the old library before the beginning of the winter holidays. This is because there will be ad hoc availability of recharging of campus card at Overseas Apartment reception, if and when the reception staff responsible is available.

    All canteens will be closed for the winter break except No.4 Canteen and the Teachers’ Canteen. Students are advised to take note of the Opening & Closing Hours for the Dinning posted on the canteen main doors.

    Supermarkets near the eastern playground within the University will remain open for the winter break.

    Students are advised to avoid using prohibited electrical appliances that can cause fire in the dorms and to take extra care in using the kitchen electrical facilities for cooking. Take more exercises and put on more clothes to keep you warm.

    Spring Festival & New Year

    OEC will be organizing a Spring Festival Celebration at the No.4 Canteen at 14:00 of 2 February 2016. All students are welcome to attend the celebrations. Students are encouraged to prepare traditional performances. This year’s celebration will be filled with wonderful performances. Just come and get a chance to win your Lucky Money!

    Chinese Television Services will be airing live New Year Celebration Party on New Year’s Eve – 7 February 2016.

    All students should keep in mind the restraint of consumption of alcohol and fireworks during this festival season.
