Jiangsu Provincial Government has set up the Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship for international students in order to promote the development of higher education of International students in Jiangsu, to further improve the profile of Jiangsu Education to the world, to highlight the brand of Study in Jiangsu and to make Jiangsu a preferred province for international students to study in. This scholarship will be provided to those excellent overseas students or scholars to undertake full time study in universities and colleges of Jiangsu. It will also include those non-degree program students and exchange students in accordance with educational exchange agreements and MOUs between the Jiangsu Provincial Government and the governments of other states, institutions, universities and international organizations.

In accordance with the scholarship review measures of Jiangsu Provincial government and Jiangsu University, the annual review of Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship （hereafter referred to as “Jasmine Scholarship ” ）has begun in order to maximize the functions of Jasmine Scholarship, regularize scholarship sponsored students’ behaviors, and stimulate them to study and all-around development.

1. Review Targets

All current Jasmine Scholarship sponsored students who are scheduled to continue study in Jiangsu University in the current academic year.

2. Criteria

(1) Academic Performance

Undergraduate: Results of the exams and assessments in the academic year of 2015-2016.

Postgraduate：Publication of academic papers and research progress.

(2) Behaviors

Compliance with the laws and regulations of PRC and rules and disciplines of Jiangsu University. Active involvement in the social service and practical activities organized by Jiangsu University and colleges.

(2) Undergraduate: transcripts for academic year of 2015-2016

Postgraduate: Evidence for the published papers and research progress

4. Review Procedures

(1) Jasmine Scholarship sponsored students shall print out and submit (typed version) required documents to Overseas Education College Students' Affair Office before Oct.8th.

(2) The result of annual review will be worked out by Overseas Education College and submitted the International Student Scholarship Review Committee of Jiangsu University before Oct.13th.

(3) Review result will be publicized before Oct.15th.

5. Results

Review results has two categories including “qualified”and “disqualified’. The scholarship of the“disqualified” students will be terminated.

6. Jasmine Scholarship Sponsored Students Cannot Pass the Review in The Following Conditions:

(1) Deferment/ Suspension due to poor academic performance

(2) Obtaining total credits lower than required for 2 consecutive academic years

(3) Obtaining 3 warnings or 1 observation within a year

(4) Class attendance rate lower than 80%

(5) Failure to comply with annual scholarship review requirements
