To All Overseas Postgraduate Students,

The 2016-2017 academic year Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship application has begun. All qualified postgraduates are welcome to apply. Details are as Follow:

I. Qualifications：

1. Current registered master and Phd students enrolled in the year of 2015 and earlier.

2. Compliance with the laws and regulations of Chinese Government and the regulations and disciplines of Jiangsu University without any disciplinary punishment (within a year).

3. High degree of study motivation, excellent academic record and scientific achievements.

4. Candidates in the following conditions shall be prioritized:

(1) First author or second author (supervisor as first author)of papers published on Chinese or international core journals in the name of Jiangsu University.

(2) Presenter or keynoter on major academic conference home and abroad.

(3) Doctoral students recommended by supervisor.

5. Highly active participants of the public service and social practice acclivities organized by Jiangsu University and colleges.

6.Applicants who are not subsidized by any scholarships in any form in the current academic year.

7. Candidates recommended by supervisor.

II. Scholarship Amount

Master student: CNY 15,000/person. Phd student:equivalence to the tuition fee of current academic year, automatically deducted as tuition fee.

III. Attachments

1. Application Form for Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship (see the document attached)

2. Personal summary consists of the experiences on study, life and activity participation in Jiangsu University.

3. Evidences for the published academic papers and presentations at major academic conference.

IV.Appraisal

1. Qualified students shall print out and submit application documents (typed version)through class teacher before Oct.10th.

2. Awards list will be worked out by Overseas Education College and submitted to the Review Committee of Jiangsu University Overseas Student Scholarship before Oct.15th.

3. Publicity of the appraisal results will be finished before Oct.20th. Any further inquiry, please contact the Overseas Education College Students’ Affair Office.

V. Attentions

1. Postgraduates who fail to submit the application and attachments within stipulated time are not entitled to Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship.

2. Candidates who fail the appraisal are not entitled to Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship.
