Dear graduates:

Graduation season is approaching. For better completion of  graduation and departure work for international students in Jiangsu University, the relevant matters needing attention are hereby notified as follows:

1. The 2019 Graduation Ceremony of Jiangsu University will be held at9 a.m. on June 21, 2019in the gymnasium of Jiangsu University. For those who need to invite their families to attend thegraduation ceremony, please apply for the Graduation Certificate in the Student Affairs Office, OEC, before June 18.

2. Graduates should takepassportsand100 yuanin cash as the deposit to collect Cap and Gown at the Student Affairs Office, OEC at8:30 on June 6, 2019. At15:30, graduates should gather at the Library Square and take photos with the president of Jiangsu University. The photo will be given together with the diploma.

3. Graduates should complete theGraduate Leaving FormandAlumni Information Registration Formbefore receiving the graduation and degree certificates. Graduate Leaving Form will be given by the class teacher. Graduates need to fill in the forms carefully and get signature or stamps from relevant departments, and submit it to Student Affairs Office, OEC beforeJuly 5. Details about Alumni Information Registration Form will be put on the WeChat official account of OEC.

4. Graduates who need notarized diploma and diploma certificate can go to Zhenjiang Notary Office. Address: No.65 Guancheng International Building, No.8 Tanshan Road, Runzhou District, Zhenjiang. Price: 200 yuan/copy; Time: 5 days. For the specific notarization requirements for the diploma certificates in each country, please consult the Embassy in China.

5. OEC will no longer extend the residence permit for foreign students who fail to graduate only due to failing to pass HSK. Relevant students are suggested to apply for language programs in other universities as soon as possible. For graduates who do not return to China after their residence permit expires, OEC will no longer extend their residence permit as well.

6. According to the Administrative Regulations of Jiangsu University on the School Record of International Students, students who do not take part in any teaching activity or do not pay the relearn fee on time during the semester will be regarded as quitting automatically. Thus, OEC will not extend the residence certificate for these students.

7. Graduates who need to refund their deposit should submit their bank card receipts which contains the bank card user name and bank card number to the C8 reception desk beforeJune 13. OEC do not provide cash refund business.

8. During graduation period, all the international students must strictly abide by Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese customs and habits, and abide by school rules and regulations. Pay attention to the personal safety and the property safety. Put an end to uncivilized phenomena. Always strictly stay away from alcohol abuse, never make loud noise when having parties, and strictly prohibit any behavior that affects the surrounding residents.
