In principle, overseas students of Jiangsu University should reside in the overseas students' apartment arranged by the university. Students who wish to reside off-campus must follow the necessary protocol to acquire permission from the O.E.C.

The OEC will open application at the beginning of each semester for eligible students to apply for off-campus stay. A maximum of 30 outstanding students will be considered in each semester. Please refer to the attachment below for detailed requirements.

During the off-campus stay, students should abide by Chinese laws and regulations, social ethics, school rules, participate in regular teaching and learning process and obey relevant arrangements of the school.

Overseas students who have been approved to reside off-campus should pay attention to their safety and protect their personal properties. All personal injuries, property losses, personal disputes and other matters arising from the off-campus stay shall be solely borne by the student. The university shall not assume any responsibility.

Overseas students who violate the rules and regulations of the university during off-campus accommodation, regardless of whether the contract expires or not, must move back to the university apartment within one week, and will be seriously dealt with according to the relevant regulations of the university.

The overseas education college of Jiangsu university shall be responsible for the interpretation of these regulations.

Requirements and application documents for off-campus accommodation:

Applicants must:

1. Pay full tuition, insurance and other relevant fees.

2. Be law abiding without any punishment records or academic warning;

3. Actively participate in school activities.

4. Pass all examination. (Applicable for undergraduate students)

5. Obtain recommendation letters from supervisor and class teacher stating their academic research status and performance in school. （Applicable for postgraduate students）
