Dear Students:

The 16th selection of "Top 10 Students" and "100 Excellent Students" in JiangsuUniversityhave been launched. All Chinese and foreign students can participate. We hope that all international students will actively participate in this selection event. The relevant information is as follows.

(1) "100 Excellent Students" in JiangsuUniversity

All the candidates should have good morality, be friendly withChina, and have good academic performance (at least top 50% in the major), all of which can set a good example for other students. Students can apply for the following 8 types:

1. ForStudy and Research: Excellent academic performance is important. The candidate should at least get the second scholarship at the school level or above. The scientific research performance should also be outstanding. The candidate should publish the papers as the first author (or the student is the second author while the supervisor the first author) on journals of SCI, EI, ISTP, SSCI, CSSCI, and Chinese core journals; or should participate in academic competitions at provincial level or above which is closely related to his/her majors and disciplines, and receive provincial second prize or better; or should participate in international academic conferences at home and abroad, and the thesis was accepted and won prizes.

2. ForInnovation and Entrepreneurship: Good at innovation or entrepreneurial practice. The candidate should have accepted the national invention patent or the national utility model patent; or he/she should have registered in the civil affairs, industrial and commercial departments to start a business; or he/she has the experience of entrepreneurship during the time in school, and has achieved certain economic or social benefits.

3. ForVoluntary activity: The candidate should have actively participated in the voluntary activities in and outside the school.

4. ForSelf-improvement: The candidate should have achieved certain results in academic or social work. Though experiencing hardships, he/she never gives up, and always strives to be stronger.

5. ForInternational exchanges: The candidates should actively participate in Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges.

6. ForSport and Art Activities: The candidate should be good at sports or arts, and actively participates in various types of sport or art activities at all levels.

7. ForContributions during the Anti-COVID-19: The candidates should take an active part in the prevention and control work of the COVID-19

8. ForWell-rounded development: The candidate should develop in a well-rounded way, with good academic performance and good behaviors. He/she should have outstanding performance in at least 3 areas of the above 7 aspects.

(2) "Top 10 Students" ofJiangsuUniversity

Students who apply for the "Top 10 Students" must apply for the "100 Excellent Students". On the basis of the selection of "100 Excellent Students", 20 candidates of "Top 10 Students" will be selected. And after the public defense in the school, the name list of "Top 10 Students Award" and "Top 10 Student Nomination Award" ofJiangsuUniversitywill be decided.

How to Apply:

1. Application Materials:

(1) The application form (Attachment 1) with a 2-inch photo;

(2) The brief introduction of the candidate (no more 200 words), and a 1,500-word introduction of the experience and the awards. Please set all the materials in A4 paper with No.4 imitation Song font;

(3) Soft copies of the certificates of awards and activities and also the papers published.

2. Please send the digital version of the application materials and one personal formal photo (no bigger than 30KB)to the class teacher before March 19. And all the class teachers make the first round selection and send the qualified candidates’ material together tooecstudent@ujs.edu.cnbefore March 21.

3. All the materials should be packed in one zip/ rar file, and name the file as “Student ID+ Name + Type”. All the materials should be complete and sent timely, otherwise it won’t be accepted.
