Teaching Plan for the International Undergraduates in the 1st Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year
1. The next semester will start on September 7, 2020 and all international undergraduates who are on the campus and in Zhenjiang are required to attend offline classroom teaching. For the freshmen, the start time will be announced later.
2. One week before the start of the course, students will be required to join the WeChat or QQ teaching groups established by their teachers.
3. Three teaching forms will be adopted in the next semester. Specifically, online teaching will be adopted if all the students of the course are outsideChina. If the students of the course are all in China, offline classroom teaching will be employed. For the course whose students are partially outside and partially inChina, the method of “offline classroom teaching + simultaneous live/recorded broadcasting” will in principle be adopted. In any case, students should follow the arrangement of the teacher.
4. The course teacher should, through the WeChat or QQ work group or the online teaching platform (e.g. Yu Classroom, Tencent Class, Tencent Meeting, Tencent QQ, etc.), tell his/her students the teaching arrangement, teaching objectives, teaching outline, teaching progress, teaching material, reference books, assessment methods, etc.
5.Offline make-up exams for the last semester (2019-2020-2) will be arranged for those who are on campus or in Zhenjiang at the beginning of the next semester. Otherwise, online exams will be arranged. The form of the final exam in the next semester will depend on the way the course is taught and the students will be informed beforehand. If students can take part in neither offline nor online teaching, they will have to apply for a postponement.
6. Online practice (experiment) teaching, if feasible, will be organized by means of video recording and virtual simulation. Otherwise, these courses will be postponed. In both cases, the students will be notified in advance. The MBBS students of Class 2015 who are in China will carry out their internship as scheduled and those who are outside China are required to serve as interns at a local comprehensive hospital with the approval of the Medical Department of Jiangsu University.
7. For online teaching courses, students are required to make full use of the after-class online discussion and Q&A organized by their teachers each week.
8. The arrangement of graduation project (thesis) will be made online if the graduating students are still outside China before the end of the next semester.
