The “CSCA International Chinese Standard Pre-university Program” at Jiangsu University, the result of meticulous planning and high-level design, is now officially open to global learners.

This program leverages the university’s nearly ten years of experience in pre-university education and adheres to China’s latest undergraduate admissions policy (for Chinese-taught programs). It has established a highly systematic curriculum that is fully and precisely aligned with the CSCA exam subjects.

The program strictly follows the CSCA examination standards for instruction, aiming to help students efficiently and accurately enhance their Chinese language proficiency, core academic abilities, and test-taking techniques in the shortest possible time.

Beyond language training, this is a dedicated bridge program for undergraduate studies. While focusing on language and foundational academic learning, the project is also committed to systematically cultivating the essential academic skills and practical competencies necessary for successfully adapting to Chinese university life. Particular emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking, cross-cultural communication, and research capabilities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

(1) Non-Chinese citizens who are physically and mentally healthy, possess a strong academic background, willingly to comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect the customs and habits of the Chinese people

(2) Aged between 18-25, with those under 18 needing to submit a guardian's guarantee. For applicants who were originally Chinese citizens and later acquired foreign nationality, relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education apply.

-Educational Background Requirement: Foreign citizens with a high school diploma or equivalent;

-Grade Requirement: 70% or above, or equivalent to a B grade;

-Chinese Requirement: HSK3 or above.
GRADUATE REQUIREMENTS

By taking the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA), a test for academic proficiency at the undergraduate - level admission for international students studying in China, applicants can apply for undergraduate programs taught in English at institutions that accept students under the Chinese Government Scholarship.
FEE STRUCTURE

Application Fee: CNY 200, non-refundable, regardless of admission

Registration Fee: CNY 400

Tuition Fee: CNY 7,800 per semester

Accommodation Fee: CNY 4,500 per bed per year (North-side) or CNY 4,900 per bed per year (South-side), or CNY 30 per bed per day

Visa Fee: CNY 425 per year (including photo)

Medical Examination Fee: CNY 550 per examination

Insurance Fee: CNY 350 per semester

Textbook and material costs: CNY 600
APPLICATION MATERIALS

(1) Passport: A scanned copy of the passport cover and main page (valid until after September 30, 2026). Applicants with previous experiences in China should provide scans of all documents related to Chinese visas and residence permits.

(2) High School Diploma: The original or notarized copy of the high school diploma.

(3) High School Transcripts: The original or notarized copy of all high school course transcripts.

(4) Chinese Proficiency: a valid HSK 3 or above certificate.

(5) Personal Statement: A self-statement of intent for studying in China (no less than 800 words), written in either Chinese or English. The content should include personal educational and work experiences, motivations for studying in China, reasons for selecting the specific major, and post-graduation personal development plans.

(6) Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Applicants must undergo a medical examination following the items listed in the form. The examination results are valid for 6 months.

(7) Financial Statement: Either the family deposit certificate, property certificate or parent/guardian income certificate with a recommended minimum value of $5,000 USD or equivalent.

(8) A valid certificate of Non-criminal record.
