The focus of the Energy Storage Science and Engineering program is on the technology of energy storage, including topics such as pumped storage, hydrogen storage, lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, and phase-change energy storage. The program covers the principles of various energy storage technologies, the design of storage materials, and the preparation of energy storage batteries, as well as the strategies for managing storage systems. Students will learn the working principles, design, optimization, and control methods for energy storage systems.
