Dear Overseas Students:

It is hereby noticed that all students who have unpaid tuition or accommodation fees should pay the amount to the financial department by8thJune, 2015.

Students who have unpaid balances from 9thJune, 2015 will be asked to apply for “deferment of studies”.

According to the“Manual for Overseas Students of Jiangsu University”, Section 2 (Academic guide), Article 5 (Enrollment and Registration), Clause 2:“If delay of payment exceeds two months, he/she will be treated as automatic expulsion or dropping out.”As per this clause, there is no chance for students to continue their study at Jiangsu University. But OEC gives one last chance for all students with unpaid financial records, by giving an option to apply for “Deferment of Study”. You can return to Jiangsu University at beginning of any new academic year once your financial problems are solved.

From next academic year, OEC would strictly enforce rules as per students’ manual.

Note:

1. Students who failed to clear all fees within 2 months from beginning of academic year will not be given scores/credits for that year. That means, you have to write make-up exams for all exams of that academic year.

2. This notice applies to all students with unpaid fees irrelevant of the amount. Please check your fees status; Pay the balance by 8thJune. If you are unable to clear the fees, please apply for deferment of studies.

3. Students who failed to clear all the fees and also failed to apply deferment of studies will be considered as automatic expulsion or dropping out and OEC will apply for their residence permits to be cancelled unconditionally. Further charged by the Public Security Bureau for illegal stay or relevant.

4. Timeline:

l Payment of balance: Until 8thJune

l Applying for deferment: 4thJune to 10thJune

l Leaving School: One week from application for deferment

l Cancellation of residence permit (for students with unpaid balance): 17thJune
