China is onred alert(the highest level of alert) assuper typhoon Chan-Homapproaches the eastern coast at high speeds. The typhoon is expected to affectJiangsu Province tomorrow and to prevent the worst getting worst, OEC requests its students to take special precautions. Tomorrow and the day after,heaving rains and very strong windsare on forecast for Zhenjiang city.

How to be safe during typhoon?

    1. Stay indoorsand avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.

    2. Do not engage in outdoor swimming.

    3.Do not ridemotorcycles and bicyles during windy conditions.

    4. If you notice hanging electric wires or damaged electrical terminals due to wind, please do not approach.

    5. Please contact the receptionist if you notice any water leakage.

    6.Close all windows, other exits to avoid damage and water flow in to your room.

    7. Pleaseunplugall electric appliances and do not use extension wires at all times.

    8. If you are in a car or taxi and experience heavy rain or stagnant water, please (if possible) get off and find shelter immediately or move to higher altitudes.
