To all international students:

The assessment of the Outstanding Scholarship for International Students for the 2025-2026 academic year is now open. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows. Eligible students are encouraged to apply.

I. Scholarship Categories

The Outstanding Scholarship for International Students consists of two categories: the Learning Excellence Scholarship and the Individual Achievement Scholarship. Assessment is primarily based on three indicators: Basic Qualities (G1), Academic Performance (G2), and Extracurricular Development Assessment (G3).

II. Eligibility

1. The Learning Excellence Scholarship is applicable to JSU officially registered full-time English-taught UNDERGRADUATES. The Individual Achievement Scholarship is applicable to JSU officially registered full-time UNDERGRADUATES and POSTGRADUATES.

2. Students who have been enrolled for more than one academic year and are not on an extension;

3. Students who love China and Chinese culture, actively participate in various activities organized by the University and colleges, and maintain good interpersonal relationships;

4. Students who comply with university rules, regulations, and dormitory management policies, with no disciplinary record in the 2025-2026 academic year;

5. Students with excellent academic performance and no failed courses in the 2025-2026 academic year.

III. Scholarship Amounts and Proportions

(1) Learning Excellence Scholarship

1. First Prize: RMB 3,000/person, no more than 3% of each class;

2. Second Prize: RMB 1,500/person, no more than 8% of each class;

3. Third Prize: RMB 500/person, no more than 17% of each class.

(2) Individual Achievement Scholarship

1. Categories: Academic Star, Sports Star, Arts Star, Social Activity Star, and Growth Star;

2. Amount: RMB 500/person;

3. Quota: 6 persons per category, 30 persons in total.

V. Application Materials

1. Learning Excellence Scholarship Application Form (printed version) (see Appendix 2);

2. Academic transcript for the 2025-2026 academic year (Transcript will be provided by teaching affairs office to student affairs office directly);

3. Copies of honor certificates, original G3 cards, and other relevant supporting documents for the 2025-2026 academic year;

4. Bank receipt (including bank account name and card number, only ICBC/ ABC/ CCB/BOC/PSBC account is accepted).

VI. Assessment Procedure

1. By 16:30, October 9: Individuals apply in accordance with their own qualifications and submit application materials to their counselors;

2. By 16:30, October 16: Counselors complete the calculation, verification, and compilation of students' G1, G2, and G3;

3. By 16:30, October 20: The Student Affairs Office compiles the materials;

4. By 16:30, October 22: The College completes the selection and recommendation;

5. October 23-27: Public announcement.

VII. Notes

1. The Basic Qualities (G1) assessment shall refer to the Student Handbook;

2. Academic Performance (G2) shall be based on the data provided by the Teaching Affairs Office;

3. The Extracurricular Development Assessment (G3) shall only take into account activities in the 2025-2026 academic year (September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026), and students must provide relevant supporting materials. Specific participation shall be subject to the participation records of activities organized by each unit;

4. Applicants who fail to provide the above materials as required will be disqualified from the scholarship assessment;

5. The scholarship shall first be used to pay any outstanding tuition and accommodation fees.
