Dear students,

To help overseas students master high Chinese proficiency and to support the construction of Chinese language talents team, the project of “the Belt and Road” Confucius Institute scholarship will be continued in 2018-2019 academic year. Detailed requirements are as follows.

1. Requirements for Applicants

a. Students from “the Belt and Road” countries, African countries or Latin American countries.

b. Undergraduates or postgraduate

c. Study year: Second year or above

d. Major in literature, history, philosophy, economy, law, education, management, Chinese medicine

e. Outstanding in academic performance, strong learning and research ability

f. Friendly attitude towards China, excellent performance in China

g. Actively involved in social activities

h. HSK-4 180 or above

i. Currently NOT funded by any other scholarships (currently not funded by CSC, Jasmine, TSP, presidential scholarship.

j. Priority will be given to applicant with financial problems on equal terms

2. Application Procedure

a. Apply on Confucius Institute scholarship application system BY YOURSELF: cis.chinese.cn, and please do upload your transcript of last semester (2017-2018 academic year 2nd semester), upload your HSK certificate

b. JSU will recommend outstanding candidates from all qualified applicants to Confucius Institute Headquarters.

c. Confucius Institute Headquarters will have the final review and release name list of final winners.

3. Deadline of Online Application

a. November 16 (Friday)

4. Fund Criteria

One-time scholarship, CNY 29600 for undergraduate winners, CNY 35100 for postgraduate winners.
