Competition Rules

1. Applications:

* All students of JSU can apply for the competition.

* Students compete in any talents including singing, dancing, mime, comedy, magic, painting, music, drama, opera, martial arts, mimicry, calligraphy etc.

* Applications end by Oct. 23rd and the organizers will evaluate and shortlist the entries for the auditions. The name list and the token numbers will be published online on Oct. 25th

* Finalists of 2017 JSU's Most Talented can apply to participate in Semi-finals directly. Specify in application

* Additional 20% points for all teams with Chinese and Foreign students together.

2. Auditions:

* Submit the music required to the organizers by Oct. 26th.

* Performance should not exceed 2 mins.

* Costumes and instruments etc. should be arranged by the contestants.

* Top 15 contestants will be chosen to enter Semi-finals （Results will be published on Oct. 28th）

3. Semi Finals:

* Submit the music required to the organizers by Nov. 8th.

* Performance should not exceed 3 mins.

* Costumes and instruments etc. should be arranged by the contestants.

* Top 5 contestants from semi-finals can enter finals directly.

* Other best contestants will be clubbed into new teams for better competition results. Contestants who agree to collaborate should respond within two working days after the results are released.

4. Finals

* Each team will be arranged with a director/professional mentor.

* Time duration for the performance should not exceed 5 min.

* Contestants should apply a list of things (instruments, material etc.) required for the performance.

* Costumes and make-up for the finals will be provided by the organizers.

* All contestants (teams) will join the photoshoot and videoshoot on Nov. 21st

* Voting (on OEC WeChat) for “Most popular contestant”will begin on Nov. 24th and poll ends on Nov. 28th. All contestants (teams) for finals will be part of the poll and the winners will be awarded at the finals.

* Music for the performance should be submitted by Nov. 27th. Music cannot be updated later on.

* Rehearsals will be held on Nov. 28th (18:00 at Academic Auditorium) and final rehearsals will be held on Nov. 29th (18:00 at Academic Auditorium)
