To the relevant Postgraduate Students,

The application for the Presidential Scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year of Jiangsu University has begun. All the Postgraduate Students with presidential scholarship are mandated to be engaged in the application. Details are as follow:

I. Requirements：

1. Applicants should be master or PhD students who were enrolled in spring 2016, autumn 2016, spring 2017 and autumn 2017, and should be normally registered.

2. Applicants should abide by the laws and regulations of Chinese Government and the regulations and disciplines of Jiangsu University, and should have no disciplinary punishment (within an academic year).

3. Applicants should have positive learning attitude, be hardworking, and have excellent academic achievement.

4. Applicants should be active in academic research：

(1) As the first author or second author (the supervisor needs to be the first author), of publications, on behalf of Jiangsu University, on important international academic journals, or domestic core journals.

(2) As the presenter or keynote speaker at the core domestic or international academic conference.

5. Applicants should respect and love China and Chinese culture, and actively take part in the public service and social practice activities organized by the OEC and Jiangsu University.

6. Applicants should be recommended by supervisor.

II. Scholarship Amount

Master students: CNY 15,000/person for students admitted before September, 2016 and CNY 20,000/person for students admitted after September 2016.

PhD students: equivalence to the tuition fee of current academic year.

Note: The presidential scholarship will be automatically deducted as tuition fee.

III. Attachments

2. Brief statements about his/her experience of study, life and activities in Jiangsu University.

3. Copy or proof of his/her academic papers published and presentations in important academic conference.

IV. Appraisal

1. Students, who meet the application criteria, are supposed to submit the application and attachments through class teacher before September 30, 2018.

2. Awards list will be worked out by Overseas Education College and submitted to the Review Committee of Jiangsu University Overseas Student Scholarship before October 14, 2018.

3. Publicity of the appraisal results will be finished before October 21, 2018.

V. Attention

1. Postgraduates who fail to submit the application and attachments within stipulated time are deemed as a waiver of the Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship selection eligibility.

2. Applicants who fail the appraisal are not entitled to Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship.

3. Students who fail to achieve the Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship should pay all the tuition fees within 10 days after the publicity of the appraisal. Otherwise, he/she will be regarded as quit automatically.
