Recruitment: Off-Campus Residents' Managers

RECRUITMENT Applications are required from students living off-campus interested in managing students from their country living off-campus or in their housing complex and estate.Purpose of OCRM

1. OCRM is designed to manage Off-campus accommodation students and ensure proper conduct and discipline in their environment.

2. OCRM uses clusters and Country managers in the management of students living within a specific cluster.

3. OCRM is designed to provide support to the security agencies as a first-point of call.

Work-flow Process

 Regional Clusters Managers (RCM) are formally briefed of their assigned roles and indicate acceptance of responsibilities.

 There contact details are shared with the supervising Police officers and security officials. It’s easier for students to be identified based on country demographics.

 The details of the regional cluster managers are put on the OEC wechat and other platforms so students can contact them.

 Periodic meetings may be held with Police officers to discuss safety and general issues that can affect students.

Regional Cluster Managers Responsibilities

 Spot check and Visits.

 Use moral suasion and other platforms to enhance bonding.

 Cooperate with Police and residents groups to ensure harmony.

 Conduct country based student social responsibility in their community.

 Share tips on driving safely, good conduct.

 Contact the Police if there is any issue that threatens or will negatively affect international students.

 RCM can share ideas on their management strategies in their wechat group and exchange information.

 Assist the OEC to communicate with overseas students(Ability to communicate in Chinese is important).

 Cooperate with the local police and handle students daily problems and communication issues ;

 Students' disciplines of violation rules (such as noise);

 Regional cluster managers also have the right to recommend locations for their colleagues based on experience and cluster model.

Motivation Package

 Flexible Reward Package based on performance, monthly report and behavior of their portfolio. Portfolio refers to students of the same country or same regional area and must have a minimum of 10 students living off-campus.

Working Conditions

Working Time: Flexible

Working Place: Housing Location and Complex.

Stipend and allowance: 200-400 Monthly stipend (This is subject to submission of report and portfolio)

Successful applicants would be required to attend a briefing and meeting with the local police.
