Dear Students:

As the best platform of cultural exchange between Chinese and Western, English provides an easy access for students to be a member of the international community. To broaden students’ international perspectives and improve their ability in academic exchanges which is advocated by the project of “Open to the World” in Jiangsu University, the recruitment for Yale Class and Yale Lecture in 2018 is to be launched. This activity aims at sharing some latest information, developing a group of students who are able to integrate into the world and international competition much faster. The details are stated as follow:

1. Organizer:

Youth League Committee, International Exchange and Cooperate Centre, Overseas Education College, Library

2. Training Content:

Yale Class: (for undergraduates)

Group study on international topics interested among undergraduates, and study technique, different cultures in the world, interview technique.

Tutor: Diego Ayala

Yale Lecture: (for post graduates)

Improvement of academic writing and analysis

Tutor: Tshidiso Joseph Magojane

3. Training Method:

a. Flipped class & instruction from foreign professors throughout the activity.

b. Establish a QQ group and wechat group for daily communication among members.

4. Time &Place:

Time: (Yale class) 6:30pm—8:00pm on Tuesday or Thursday (two batches)

(Yale lecture) 6:30pm—8:00pm on Wednesday

TOTALLY SIX WEEKS, STARTING FROM April 10^th, DETAILED SCHEDULE WILL BE UPDATED AFTER THE RECRUITMENT.

Place: Lecture Hall 105 on the 1^st floor in Library

5. Recruiting Targets:

Yale Class: all undergraduates

Yale Lecture: all postgraduates

Those who took the class before cannot apply again.

6. Registration Matters:

a. Please send your name, class, students ID number and phone number to oecstudent@ujs.edu.cn. Overseas Student Affairs Office will make selection.

b. Registration deadline: April 2^nd, 2018

c. Restricted number: 10 undergraduates for Yale Class, 10 postgraduates for Yale Lecture.

7. Attention: Yale Class and Yale Lecture are free courses.
