A. Safety Management Regulations to be Consciously Observed by Students in the Dormitory.

1. Do not pull or touch an exposed electric wire.

2. Do not use robber or plastic electric kettle, quick heater and other unauthorized electrical appliances.

3. Pay attention to the hot compartment of any electric gargets while using desk lamp, chargers, computer and other electrical appliances.

4. Remember to switch off your light and other electrical appliances while leaving the room.

5. Do not use fire in the dormitory, highly inflammable and explosive materials are forbidden in the dormitory；do not burn items in the dormitory.

6. Report to the appropriate authorities when there is anything that is unsafe and dangerous to you and other students.

7. Take good care of the fire extinguishers. Do not displace the fire extinguishers or use them for any other purposes.

8. Avoid pouring water on the floor of the dormitory to prevent slippery.

9. Do not accommodate opposite sex as well as Chinese and foreign students who are not students of Jiangsu University in your room.

10. Do not smoke on the open within the dormitory.

11. keep your room clean and report any faulty equipment to the appropriate authorities.

12. Do not disturb your neighbors.

B. Safety Measure When Going Out from Campus

When traveling outside campus during the vacation pay attention to your belongings, be cautious of fraud and traffic accident. Try as much as possible to be self-protected; do not involve yourself in any kind of dangerous activities.

C. Protection of Your Personal Properties

Protect all your personal properties especially your passport and money during the holidays to prevent loss. If your passport is lost, report to the local police station on time. Contact and report to your consulate immediately. Send a photocopy of your passport and visa to the consulate. The consulate will provide you a temporary identity card to be used until a new passport is processed. A new visa will be reissued after receiving a new passport.

D. Residence Registration every time after landing in China within 24 Hours

Overseas students must register their residence information every time they enter China within 24 hours. Students can choose to register at G6 reception (please consider about their working time). If a student cannot reach school within 24 hours and choose to stay with friends in other city, he/she must register at the nearest police station. But since students may find the wrong police station sometimes, we strongly suggest our students to find a normal hotel since the check-in procedure equals to residence registration procedure.
