Dear Students,

OEC plans to hire overseas students to take the role of dorm receptionist assistant for each overseas apartment during winter vacation. It is also an opportunity to ease the financial stress for students. Applicants should communicate with students and help receptionists with their management and security work. Details are as follows.

Recruiting Numbers: 6

Working Place: Duty room in G6, C7, C8/C9

Working Dates: Jan 16 – Feb 18, 2017;

Duty Timings: (to be arranged according to candidates’ preferences)

10:00 – 12:00am, 14:00 – 17:00pm, 20:00 – 23:00

Financial Allowance: refer to JSU salary standard for student part-time job

Requirement for Applicants:

1. Good morality, high responsibility, no punishment record

2. Master and PhD students must get approval from supervisor

3. Cannot leave the duty room or shift duty timings

4. Priority for those who have experience on teaching or managing

5. Priority for executive members of student associations

6. Priority for those who is in financial difficulty

Duties of Receptionist Assistant:

1. Routine patrol: monitoring for violations (eg. make noise), check the cleaning work in heating room, washing room, any inappropriate washing behaviors (eg. Washing quilt or blanket with washing machine), any extension board in G6 garage or other insecurity behavior, any inappropriate parking vehicles at the entrance of apartment. Or other relevant help requested by the receptionist.

2. Assist with preventing strangers and students from other universities entering the dorm.

3. Assist with preventing students from going out or coming back late

4. Assist with solving student problems and accidents

Application procedure:

1. Submit the application form to OEC 213 Students Affairs Office and send the soft copy tooecstudent@ujs.edu.cn before Jan 10, 2017 (4pm)

2. OEC will hold an interview for those applicants who passed the audits. Details of interview will be informed later.

3. Results will be announced on OEC website and WeChat.
