Dear students,

May 1st is an official holiday to celebrate International Labour Day. We are pleased to inform you of the holiday arrangement for the coming weeks.

The holiday will be from May 1st (Thursday) to May 5th (Monday), lasting for five days. Please note that the teaching activities originally scheduled for May 5th (Monday) have been rescheduled to April 27th (Sunday). Please take note of the adjustments and make required arrangement.

Safety Reminders:

The safety reminders are as follows, please read carefully and inform each other.

1. All overseas students must comply with Chinese laws and regulations in addition to our university’s regulations and rules. Violation of national laws and regulations will result in legal penalties from the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Justice, and also punishment (from warning to expulsion from school) given by Jiangsu University. Special attention should be paid to cases such as illegal working with student visa, expired visas, unruly behavior due to alcohol, and disturbing the peace when staying off campus.

2. Please take good care of your health. Please refrain from smoking and drinking. Drug abuse is strictly prohibited.

3. Students should only participate in religious activities at lawfully registered buddhist monasteries, taoist temples, mosques, churches within Chinese territory. Do not organize or participate in any illegal assembly, rally, campaign, or protests. And do not engage in religious activities in the dorm and public areas.

4. Join OEC events during the vacation. Also, there are many interesting places in Zhenjiang. You can visit them during the holiday and learn more about Zhenjiang.

5. If you are planning to leave Zhenjiang for travel or visiting friends in other cities, please make sure that you take permission through class teacher.
