To All Overseas Students,

According to the requirements of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance and Department of Education, Jiangsu University now begins the application procedures of "Jiangsu Government Outstanding Students Scholarship” in the 2024-2025Academic Year. Detailed information is as follows:

1. Quota of scholarships

a) Undergraduate: 37 undergraduates.

b) Postgraduate: 21 masters and 23 PhDs.

2. Qualifications

a) Full-time degree UNDERGRADUATES and POSTGRADUATES in their second year or above.

b) Undergraduate and Master applicants are required to submit application documents and attend interview. PhD candidates are recommended based on the preliminary evaluation results of this year’s Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship, and do not need to submit application documents or attend interview.

c) Non full scholarship students.

3. Requirements for applicants:

a) Be friendly with China, obey the laws of China and the regulations of JSU and OEC;

b) Be honest and respectful, and have good morality;

c) Have good academic performance during the stay in Jiangsu University. Undergraduate students should have got all the required credits and at least have won the third-class or above Outstanding Students Scholarship.

d) Actively participate and have good performance in enterprise practice, innovation and entrepreneurship, voluntary public welfare, self-improvement and encouragement, international communication, arts and sports.

e) Have your own story of studying in China, including the memories of deep impression, experiences, feelings about the study and live in China.

f) Promote the spread of traditional Chinese culture or cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, make significant contributions to public welfare. Priority will be given to those who make outstanding contributions.

g) Students from financially disadvantage families will be given the priority if competed on equal conditions.

4. Application Documents:

a) Application Form of Jiangsu Government Outstanding Students Scholarship (attachment);

b) Transcripts of 2023-2024 academic year (the printed screenshot is accepted);

c) The certificate of all the achievements, honors, activities, and published papers during 2023-2024 academic year;

For the papers that have been published, the order of the author and the level of the essay (such as SCI, EI, and SSCI) with the impact factors should be indicated;

d) The personal summary of your study, research, activities and school life;

e) An article about "My Story in China". The content of this article should focus on the experiences and feelings that are deeply remembered during the study and life in China. The writing language are English or Chinese, the number of words should be over 1000 words;

f) Bank document of the applicants (ICBC, ABC, CCB, BOC and Postal Saving Bank only).

5. The Selection Process:

a) Submit all the documents to your class teacher before November 11^th;

b) In November, OEC will make evaluation and selection, and organize an interview with all candidates after shortlisting;

c) Publicity of the result;

d) Announcement of final winners.
