To All Overseas Students,

The application of 2023-2024 Academic Year Outstanding Scholarship of Overseas Students has begun. Details are as follow:

1. Classification of scholarships

The Outstanding Scholarship of Overseas Students includes: Learning Excellence Scholarship and Individual Scholarship. All scholarships are primarily assessed based on three aspects: fundamental quality (G1), academic records (G2), and quality expansion evaluation (G3).

2. Qualifications

(1) The Learning Excellence Scholarship is applicable to JSU officially registered full-time UNDERGRADUATES. The Individual Scholarship is applicable to JSU officially registered full-time UNDERGRADUATES and POSTGRADUATES.

(2) Studying in Jiangsu University for over one year.

(3) Love China and Chinese Culture, active participation in activities organized by Jiangsu University and colleges. Good interpersonal relationship.

(4) Compliance with rules and disciplines of Jiangsu University and the dorm administrative regulations, without any punishment record.

(5) Excellent academic performance WITHOUT any failed subjects within the 2023-2024 academic year.

3. The amount and proportion of scholarship

Learning Excellence Scholarship is divided into: First-Class, Second-Class and Third-Class.

1) 1st class scholarship of 3000 CNY/ person per year, which occupies no more than 3% of each class;

2) 2nd class scholarship of 1500 CNY/ person per year which occupies no more than 8% of each class;

3) 3rd class scholarship of 500 CNY/ person per year, which occupies no more than 17% of each class;

The Individual Scholarships include Academic Star, Sports Star, Star of Art, Social Activity Star and Growth Star. The scholarship amount is 500 CNY/ person per year. Number of scholarship winners will be decided by OEC according to the applicants.

4. The assessment and evaluation of scholarships

Please refer to Provisions to Assess Outstanding Scholarship of Overseas Students in Jiangsu University (Attachment 1).

5. Application materials

(1) The Application Form of the outstanding scholarship of overseas students (Attachment 2) filled by the Applicants themselves (Only the printed form is accepted.)

(2) Transcripts of 2023-2024 academic year (The printed screenshot can be accepted).

(3) The evidence materials of the quality expansion assessment (G3) dring 2023-2024 academic year.

(4) The bank statement with Bank Account Name, Bank Card Number and Passport Number on it (Only the ICBC/ ABC/ CCB/BOC/PSBC account is accepted).

6. Deadline of assessment procedures

(1) Qualified students MUST submit the application materials to the class teacher BEFORE 16:30, September 18, 2024.

(2) The preliminary evaluation of the G1, G2 and G3 should be finished by class teacher BEFORE 16:30, September 24, 2024.

(3) The summary table of the evaluation results together with the application materials should be completed by student affairs office of Overseas Education College BEFORE 16:30, September 26, 2024.

(4) The final assessment and selection will be finished by Overseas Education College BEFORE 16:30, September 30, 2024.

(5) Publicity will be done during October 8 to October 14, 2024.

7. Note

(1) Please refer to the Student Manual for the evaluation of G1.

(2) G2 is ultimately based on the data provided by Teaching Affairs Office.

(3) G3 only calculates activities during 2023-2024 academic year. Applicant MUST provide proof materials and the participation record of each activity.

(4) Failure to provide the above materials as required will result in disqualification from the scholarship evaluation.

(5) The scholarship money will be used to pay to the tuition and accommodation account directly if you have any unpaid amounts.
