1.About Jiangsu University
Jiangsu University is a comprehensive university with a history of over a hundred years, specializing in agricultural machinery. It is jointly built by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China. The university is located in Yangtze River Delta, the most dynamic, open, and innovative region in China, with its main campus situated in Zhenjiang city. Jiangsu University was among the first universities in China granted the authority to confer doctoral and master's degrees. It was also among the first batch of Chinese universities receiving Higher General Education Accreditation for International Students, In 2023, the University, achieved an "A" rating in the re-accreditation. The university participates actively in the "Belt and Road" education initiative and has educated thousands of students from over 100 countries and regions, with more than 2,300 international students currently enrolled in degree programs.
2.Qualifications
Non-Chinese citizens who are physically and mentally healthy, possess a strong academic background, willingly to comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect the customs and habits of the Chinese people are eligible to apply.
For Bachelor's Degree
Applicants should have completed high school or possess equivalent qualifications. They must hold a valid passport. 18 to 25 years old. Applicants under 18 years of age should provide a guaranty from a guardian. Applicants who were previously Chinese citizens and have subsequently acquired foreign nationality shall meet the requirements in the relevant regulations of China's Ministry of Education.
For Master's Degree
Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Principally, an applicant's age should not exceed 30 years old.
For Ph.D. Degree
Applicants should hold a master's degree or its equivalent. Principally, an applicant's age should not exceed 40 years old.
3.Programs
Jiangsu University offers a wide range of academic disciplines, encompassing 11 categories, including Engineering, Agriculture, Science, Medicine, Management, Economics, Philosophy, Law, Literature, Education, and Arts. It comprises 34 academic departments that provides 97 undergraduate majors, including 18 programs taught in English. Besides, the university has 15 first-level doctoral programs and 45 first-level master's programs. The detailed program catalog for 2024 spring intake is as follows:
4.Application Documents
For Bachelor's Degree Applicants
(1) Passport: A scanned copy of the passport's main page (valid until after September 30, 2024). Applicants with previous experiences in China should provide scans of all documents related to Chinese visas and residence permits.
(2) High School Diploma: The original or notarized copy of the high school diploma. Current high school graduates should provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their schools (graduation date should be before February 29, 2024). Upon registration, the official high school diploma must be submitted.
(3) High School Transcripts: The original or notarized copy of all high school course transcripts.
(4) English Proficiency (For English-Taught Programs): Applicants for programs taught in English must provide copies of their IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo English Test scores. IELTS scores should be above 5.5, TOEFL scores should be above 80, or Duolingo scores should be above 85.
(5) Personal Statement: A self-statement of intent for studying in China (no less than 800 words), written in either Chinese or English. The content should include personal educational and work experiences, motivations for studying in China, reasons for selecting the specific major, and post-graduation personal development plans.
(6) Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Applicants must undergo a medical examination following the items listed in the form. The examination results are valid for 6 months.
(7) Financial Statement: Either the family deposit certificate, property certificate or parent/guardian income certificate with a recommended minimum value of $5,000 USD or equivalent.
(8) Non-criminal Record: Applicants without a criminal record certificate may submit proof of good conduct during their time in school (only for current high school graduates).
For Master's and Ph.D. Degree Applicants
(1) Passport: A scanned copy of the passport's main page (valid until after September 30, 2024). Applicants with previous experiences in China should provide scans of all documents related to Chinese visas and residence permits.
(2) Original or Notarized Degree Certificates: Original or notarized copies of all degree certificates starting from the undergraduate level. Current graduates should provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their universities (graduation date should be before February 29, 2024). The original degree certificates must be submitted upon registration.
(3) Original or Notarized Transcripts: Transcripts for all courses taken starting from the undergraduate level.
(4) CV: Include a chronological list of educational experiences from the undergraduate level onward. Applicants with previous educational experiences in China should include all study experiences.
(5) Study Plan: At least 800 words, include details about applicants' educational and work background, academic achievements, research plans, and personal development goals. Ph.D. applicants should also provide a detailed academic research plan.
(6) Language Proficiency Proof: Applicants from non-English speaking countries should provide scanned copies of TOEFL, IELTS, GRE scores, or other documents proving their English proficiency.
(7) Two Recommendation Letters: Either Chinese or English and signed by associate professors or professors in a relevant field.
(8) Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Applicants must undergo a medical examination following the items listed in the form. The examination results are valid for 6 months.
(9) Financial Statement: Either the family deposit certificate, property certificate or parent/guardian income certificate with a recommended minimum value of $5,000 USD or equivalent.
(10) Non-criminal Record: Applicants without a criminal record certificate may submit proof of good conduct during their time in university (only for current university students).
(11) List and Abstracts of Published Academic Papers.
Notes:
(1) All documents uploaded should be in Chinese or English and be original or notarized copies.
(2) The uploaded documents should be in the original color scanned format.

And make the application fee payment of CNY 200. The application fee is non-refundable. The Admissions Office will arrange entrance examinations and academic assessments for undergraduate and graduate applicants respectively.
7.Fees and Scholarships
(1) Tuition Fee: Please refer to the attached catalog in "3. Programs" for the tuition fee of each program.
(2) Other Fees:
Application Fee: CNY 200, non-refundable, regardless of admission.
Accommodation Fee: CNY 4,500 per bed per year (North side) or CNY 4,900 per bed per year (South side), or CNY 30 per bed per day.
Visa Fee: CNY 400 per year.
Medical Examination Fee: CNY 550 per examination.
Insurance Fee: CNY 600 per year.

8.Accommodation
05:42Jiangsu University provides on-campus dormitories for international students, all of which are double rooms. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom, air conditioning, water heater, and other facilities. The dormitory buildings also have kitchens and common areas.
Due to limited availability, on-campus dormitories are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
