On the morning of January 31, 2016, the second Hengshun sauce vinegar culture festival attracted some special participants. More than 40 OEC students from over ten countries joint in the activity, enjoyed the folk culture of China, and experienced the customs of Chinese New Year. Although it was cold, they were still enthusiastic. The temporary booth was surrounded by foreign students. With the help of OEC teachers and volunteers, students learnt the vinegar culture of Zhenjiang and the custom of buying sauce and vinegar when the New Year comes. They communicated with the residents cheerfully. Some students stepped onto the stage to sing and dance and enjoyed this wonderful time. Local residents were also affected by the enthusiasm of the students. Everyone took photos with each other and gave the best wishes to each other.

Zhenjiang Hengshun vinegar industry is one of the most well-known enterprises, both in China and Overseas. And the Hengshun sauce vinegar culture festival originates from the traditions which were formed decades ago in Zhenjiang.

The activity of Hengshun vinegar culture festival is one of the activities which were held for international students during winter vocation. Other activities were also held like business visit, New Year party, etc. These activities have greatly enriched students’ winter vacation and increased the students' understanding about China. It gave the international students a chance to experience the Chinese traditional culture. Also, these activities have become popular among international students.
