A Journey of Connecting Chinese Tea and the World

Tea, not only refers to tea leaves. Most of the significance lies in the cultural characteristics formed within the process of drinking tea, and that is the Tea Culture. China is the homeland of tea, and Tea Culture originated from China.

On 13rdMarch, 15 foreign students who come from Ghana, Turkey, Korea and other countries together with some Chinese students from College of Food Science went to the experience pavilion of Run Ming garden to join in the activity called ”Chinese Tea, Tasted by the World”.

First of all, the teacher of tea art introduced the development history, the effect on human body and the categories of tea. Then, the teacher showed the students how to identify the real tea through the color, smell, taste and other aspects of tea leaves. Under the guidance of the teacher, the international students visited the tea collection chamber, and learned all kinds of tea leaves. With the demonstration of the teacher, the international students experienced the selection of tea set, tea brewing, and the etiquette of tea culture. They also wore the clothes of tea art in the game and emulate the correct postures of tea invitation and tea-tasting.

The antique decoration and the euphonic traditional songs made all the international students indulged in the evolution of Chinese tea and its implicated humanity literacy.
