On June 14th, 17 OECians were guided by Vice Dean Mrs.Cai to the Zhenjiang New District Government Service Center. The leaders and staff of various departments of the one-stop sevice center received the students and introduced the facilities and services.

Students learnt that the govt. service center coordinates various government sectors and combines as one integrated center. One place where over 400 services can be processed by tens of govt. departments. Among these over 80% of services can now be served online from application, processing and approval. Documents will reach your home directly, a facility which is very convenient. Students also visited the smart management center of the district which is an integrated system with a huge screen that shows public management data. This smart system provides fast and efficient mode to manage public security, environment status, fire safety etc.

OECians were also briefed about the working and start-up opportunities for foreigners in China. Up to date regulations on above inculde working visas for excellent graduating students without need of work experience, a great news for foreign students who want to work in China after graduation. Start-up in China is actually not that difficult as they imagined. Through this session, OECians were amazed to know that "Company registrations" can be done in just one working day. Interactions with other departments such as Tax Bureau, Human Resources, Students Start-up Incubators etc, followed on.

This event was very much welcomed by the participating students. They all expressed that such interactions made them more clear about the regulations. Their love to China, Zhenjiang and Zhenjiang New District will sure motivate them to work or try business start-ups here. They are thankful for the government departments to give them such a good platform.
