During the summer holidays the The China Africa Relationship Think-Tank (C.A.R.T) was inaugurated after a series of meetings, brainstorming and intellectual engagements. The 1st phase of the China -Africa Summit was held on July 25, 2018 at the graduate school. The summit had in-depth discussion on the current Chinese policies that can boost China-Africa strategic partnership.

Ms. Cai the Vice dean of the Overseas education college expressed her appreciation to the students for putting their knowledge, commitment, and enthusiasm towards the organization of the event. She encouraged students to see the countless opportunities in China and to learn the Chinese culture, tradition and Language in order to grasp all those opportunities. She further affirms the OEC readiness to support such a wonderful initiative to a successful end.

Abdul and Kingsley Appiah (PG group leader) gave in-depth presentation on the entire event and admonished all the participants to leverage on the opportunity to present their meaningful developmental suggestions to their various countries and serve as a bridge to communicate and collaborate with China for win-win cooperation.

Professor Yan also delivered an excellent presentation on the current Chinese government policies. He brought to light the policies that can help impact massive transformation in most sectors of the African economy including but not limited to industrialization, agriculture mechanization, health, and human resource development. His presentation generated stimulating dialogue and sharing of mutual benefit while each African country stand to gain when partner with China.

The Summer camp ended with high interest by the students and plans were made to formally hold the formal event in the new session.
