On October 28, 2018, some Chinese and foreign students volunteers from Jiangsu University visited a local community in Zhenjiang City to launch the event themed "turning waste into treasure". They guided the children to make some science works and environmental protection crafts from scrap materials. They also guided the children to make good habits of diligence and thrift from childhood. This event was to mark the World Savings Day (World Thrift Day) which is observed on October 31.
