Studying in Jiangsu University does not only give one the opportunity to catapult his/her academic dreams, but it also opens a global chance for one to share his knowledge on the international arena. OECian- Prince Asilevi Junior, School of the Environment and Safety Engineering from Ghana, joined the Jiangsu University academic delegates for the 25th Tri University International Joint Seminar and Symposium 2018 hosted in Chiang Mai University (CMU), Thailand.

CMU’s Faculty of Engineering hosted this year’s conference from 4th – 8th November, 2018, with 5 participating countries, 15 universities, 40 faculty members and 100 students. Most uniquely, Prince was the only foreign-participating student in the Jiangsu university students’ delegates and the only delegate from Africa among the 100 participating students of the conference.

On Monday 5th November, Oral PPT presentations commenced immediately after the opening ceremony, comprising morning and afternoon sessions. OECian was scheduled to present at 16:15 to 16:30, on the topic: “REMOVAL OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOCS) FOR THE ABATEMENT OF PHOTOCHEMICAL SMOG: AN ENVIRONMENTAL MENACE”, in the section of Environment.

According to Prince, “the 25th Tri-University International Joint Seminar and Symposium 2018 was indeed an exciting experience. The opportunity to learn and share new ideas, make new friends, establish contacts for future research and many other memorable events was the spirit of Tri U 2018”.
