The finals of “Talk of the World” English speech contest hosted by the JSU Communist Youth League and JSU Postgraduate Students Union was held in PG hall on December 20th. Two OECians Sabeeh Pervaiz and Joseph Smith won the first and second prize respectively after a fierce competition.

13 Chinese and overseas contestants got advanced to the final all the way through the audition and semi-final. Sabeeh Pervaiz ranked first by sharing his encouraging life experience in a humorous way, which moved the judges and audience. Joseph Smith talked about his teaching life in Ghana and showed some scenic spots in his own country. Finally he got the second prize.
