At 2:00pm on Saturday 4th May 2019, a referee whistled for the commencement of the long awaited final match between the HALA and the TITANS at the university’s middle pitch. The excited players were eager to secure the win for their teams while the spectators, who were present in their numbers, beamed with energy. The gleaming trophies on the pitch made clear what was at stake for the OECians.

At the end of the match, Hala won by 3 goals to nil making them the champions of the tournament. After the game, a short closing ceremony was organized to award the best team, excellent players, coaches, organizers, contributors, officials, first-aid medical assistants, publicity team and referees.

The following awards were presented (among others):

 Top scorer- Eyeson

 Best goalkeeper-Nana kojo

 Best attacker-Munachilau

 Best coach- Wadamba

The tournament ended in joy as many celebrated the victory of HALA with photographs and other congratulatory activities.

This year’s tournament was marked with dedication and commitment from the various teams which made it more prosperous. Consequently, the general coach, Muhktar Yusif, the officials and the organizers of the tournament would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to all the players and supporters for their participation and assistance. The team also expresses its gratitude to OEC, ISSA and Olive Media for their support as well.
