It began as a passion of destination, the dream of a goal in anticipation and the actual journey for its actualization as well as realization. The shoes were boggled-up, shirts were buttoned up, passengers climbed up aboard and the vehicle headed up for Suzhou.

  This was how the journey was embarked on. Sunday 16th June, 2019 was a special day marked with the historical visits by JSU foreign students to UGET plastic company at Suzhou. By 8:00am, the registered students assembled and boarded the designated bus in front of the new Library. The bus reached the company around 10:30am and the Company staffs warmly welcomed JSU representatives. The students were escorted by 2 OEC staffs; Dr. Ade and Mr. Wu.

  After the kind reception, students were taken round the company to observe the production processes, manufacturing machines, company warehouse and the sample room. Miss Lily, the Sales manager of UGET briefly explained all procedures and methods involved in production and export of the company’s products. Students were happy to see the amazing machines and techniques used in the manufacturing processes.

  After the transect walk within the factory, students were finally led to the sample room to see available products. Few demonstrations were made about the products in different languages.

  After lunch, Miss Lily, the sales manager of the company gave a speech. In her speech, she welcomed and thanked the student representatives for their interest to know UGET products. She further introduced the company;s products, certification and their global potential markets. Mansuur Husein, one of the JSU student representatives was given the opportunity to explain the company's plans and strategies. The company currently aims to recruit sales agents from different countries then in future, open branches abroad.

  The tour ended with a group photographs with the company's CEO, Mr. Wang and other staffs of the company. Some gifts were distributed to the students.

  The trip was successful and all participants expressed their gladness and hoped to help the company market their products in their respective countries. We thank OEC and Jiangsu University for giving us this opportunity to visit UGET Company. We hope to have more of similar visits in future.
