Everyone loves a good action movie. For the medical students gathered in the Post Graduate auditorium that evening, Dr. Harinath re-introduced “The Art of War” in the angle of medicos! As a victor of the medical profession, an experienced student and now teacher, he shared battle strategies to guide us through our exams, the ever-evolving technology and eventually, our patients.
Just like any good action movie, there is something for everyone, from seniors to freshman. Apart from pin-pointing the key reasons of dropping academic efficiency, Dr. Harinath also challenged the students to identify their personality types using psychological maps such as MBTI and VARK, so as to identify their most effective habit of study.
Students listened with rapt attention as Dr. Harinath highlighted the art of effective reading and note taking, pre-lecture preparation for active listening and stress management.
Dr. Harinath's light and playful demeanour made it a truly interactive session, a perfect balance of jokes and seriousness – just like a good action movie! Our freshmen took advantage of the session, making the biggest demographic; the transformative tips will go a long way in securing efficient study methods in their futures.
With bated breath we look forward to the next event! Pens are drawn and ready for battle!Writer: IMSA Publicity Officer
