"The Relay-tionship" Half Marathon Was a Great Success

The COVID-19 gives everyone a reflective understanding of the importance of having a healthy body. Hence, we must actively participate in physical exercise, enhance physical fitness and immunity, and develop good hygiene habits and healthy lifestyles. At the same time, in order to implement the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, and reduce the risk of personnel movement and gathering, this invigorated ISSA of JSU to adopt the "online run" to deliver positive energy among JSU students from all over the world!The Relay-tionshipWith Joyrun Apps installed on cell phones, JSU students all over the world exhibited their dexterity and capabilities in the just ended ISSA Relay-tionship HALF MARATHON Competition.

In view of this, OECians combined racing with navigation on race pace, used highly detailed App to record time, km, pace, steps, etc to cover up the required distance as per the race.

On May 4, 17:00 Beijing & local time, the ISSA Relay-tionship Half Marathon Competition of JSU commenced where students run alone from anywhere in the world with unity. This was the first time ISSA-JSU has listed such a worthy and healthy event as part of its sports events due to the current circumstance we find ourselves.The competition was made up of 10 Chinese and Foreign student teams with 5 members in each team to participate. Due to the unique nature of the competition, each and every team leader in the person of Winfred of OEC Horses, Brighton of 1 Team 1 Dream, Tanuj of The Outcasts, Jia Yunchao of Flying Man, Tariro of Sprinters, Kenzo of Quest, Selorm of Track Conquerors, Siddhi Sanjay of OEC Swifties, Asheesh of Happy Feet and Hope of Speedies attached great importance to the selection of exceptional members as well as organizing their team members for the event irrespective of their location.

RESULTS

Following the online feedbacks as per the progress of the event, it was realized that the passion was extremely high as each team displayed a sense of team spirit and eagerness to excel. This event hopes to provide an interactive connecting platform for all students across the globe even during such difficult times of the pandemic.

However, OEC Horses team appeared to be a tough team with a sense of tactical game plan as well as portrayed their prowess in long distance running which led to their victory as winners, 1 Team 1 Dream team also exhibited a preemptive measure in a grand style which made them runners-up whereas the Outcasts team also displayed a sense of exertions which made them second runners-up at the end of the event.

The purpose of the event was really achieved at the end. In fact, all teams were with much excitement and euphoria to participate in such an online classic event and looking forward to participate in such games.

It’s our burning desire to unveil our special and profound gratitude to OEC for allowing us to organize such a worthy event as well as appreciate their support and provision for making this unique introduced ISSA-JSU competition event a reality for the entire student populace.
