On August 17, Page 17 of People’s Daily ran a report titled “Egyptian Student Yasser: The Academic Atmosphere Here Nurtures Me”, featuring the academic journey of EMAN YASSER HUSSEIN GABALLA, an Egyptian doctoral student at Jiangsu University's National Research Center of Pumps.

Hailing from Alexandria University in Egypt, Yasser pursued her master’s degree in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics at Jiangsu University after completing her undergraduate studies and is now continuing her doctoral research. Her main research focuses on the wear mechanism and prevention‑control of centrifugal pumps. During her studies at Jiangsu University, Yasser, together with faculty and fellow researchers in her research group, conducted hundreds of repeated experiments, providing solid support for the research and development of key equipment for heavy‑oil extraction.

The research outcomes have been applied in relevant projects of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). To date, as the first author, she has published six high‑level papers in key international journals and won the Special Prize at the 1st Jiangsu Foreign Postgraduate Research Symposium.
