2026 Dialogue on Studying in China Concludes at Jiangsu University
2026 Dialogue on Studying in China, hosted by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), was successfully held on April 26–29. The event was supported by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and organized by Jiangsu University.







The dialogue brought together over 300 representatives from universities and institutions. Ms. Xi Ru, Second-level Inspector of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education; Mr. Yu Yang, Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE; and Mr. Yang Shubing, Deputy Director General of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, shared policy perspectives and strategic directions. Prof. Zou Xiaobo, President of Jiangsu University, delivered an opening remark.Keynote reports on practices and future visions for international student education were then presented by Prof. Ming Dong, Vice President of Tianjin University, and Prof. Yi Yonggang, Vice President of Shanghai International Studies University, with the session moderated by Prof. Chen Feng, Vice President of Jiangsu University. Other leaders attending the opening ceremony included Ms. Zheng Han from the Ministry of Education, and Ms. Li Qinjing from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, etc.
Prior to the opening ceremony, Prof. Li Hongbo, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu University Committee, met the attending leaders.



During the event, certification was conferred under Education Accreditation for International Students in China for the second half of 2025.

Ms. He Pei, from CEAIE, shared achievements in developing excellent courses and bases for educating international students on China's national conditions.





Discussions focused on advancing the high-quality development of China’s international education sector, in line with national priorities for educational modernization and people-to-people exchanges. Key themes included quality assurance, curriculum development on Chinese societal contexts, risk management, English-taught program expansion, and global outreach strategies. The seminars featured experience-sharing from over ten universities, including the University of International Business and Economics, Dalian University of Technology, and Northwestern Polytechnical University and other universities, followed by in-depth discussions among participants.


Parallel activities featured outcomes from the "Understanding China" excellent courses, social practice bases for Chinese and international youth, as well as presentations on how Jiangsu universities educate international students about China's national conditions.



Participants also visited the Overseas Education College of Jiangsu University and watched a cultural performance by Chinese and international students.
Guided by the vision of building a leading country in education and fostering high-level opening-up, the dialogue served as an effective platform for policy interpretation, experience exchange, and collaborative strategy development. The event concluded with broad recognition and tangible outcomes.
