On April 10, 2026, the Overseas Education College (OEC) formally welcomed back Dr. Bless Kofi Edziah, a distinguished 2018 alumnus and graduate of the Management Science and Engineering program. The OEC leadership, represented by Ms. Wang Limin, Secretary of the OEC-CPC Branch and Director of the International Alumni Association, alongside Mr. Wang Bin, Vice Dean of the OEC commended Dr. Edziah for his proactive efforts in maintaining a strong and meaningful connection with his alma mater.

During the strategic dialogue session with student representatives, Dr. Edziah expressed profound gratitude to his supervisor and the Overseas Education College (OEC) for their steadfast support throughout his doctoral program. He reflected candidly on his academic journey, noting that while he entered the program with limited experience in academic writing, the rigorous scholarly guidance provided by Jiangsu University enabled him to publish in high-impact journals. This research foundation has since culminated in a distinguished career, including a postdoctoral position at Tianjin University and the attainment of prestigious research grants. Most notably, he was awarded the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Research Fund for International Young Scientists in 2025 and currently leads a research project funded by the Research Council of Lithuania.

Addressing the student representatives, Dr. Edziah encouraged them to remain dedicated to their academic aspirations, highlighting the vast professional opportunities and resources available in China. He also provided detailed insights and practical career advice based on his personal trajectory during an interactive Q&A session, .

Mr. Wang Bin, speaking in his capacity as Dr. Edziah’s former class teacher, praised his exemplary work ethic and consistent cooperation with university authorities during his tenure. He urged student leaders to emulate Dr. Edziah’s persistence and disciplined approach to ensure their own academic success.

In her closing remarks, Ms. Wang Limin thanked Dr. Edziah for his visit and formally invited him to serve as a mentor, sharing his expertise to inspire and guide the next generation of Jiangsu University scholars.
