OECians Engaged Local Industry at ZETDZ

On January 21, the China-Africa Think Tank (CART) student association of Jiangsu University, in collaboration with the Zhenjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone (ZETDZ), successfully organized an enterprise visit program for international students. The delegation consisted of 28 international students from 17 different countries, accompanied by an OEC patron, Dr. Wu Wenhao.

Their visit commenced at Jiangsu Lianbo Precision Technology Co., Ltd., a specialist in high-precision manufacturing. As the first stop, Lianbo provided the students with a close look at sophisticated production processes and stringent quality control systems. The tour then proceeded to Gardermoen Electric, where the group observed the assembly and testing of advanced electrical equipment. Through direct observation and interaction with technical staff, the students gained valuable insights into automation, technological innovation, and modern industrial management practices.

Following the site visits, a formal exchange session was held. Representatives and leaders from the hosting organizations delivered speeches. They shared valuable insights into the current industrial landscape, development strategies of the zone and their respective companies, and elaborated on the career paths and opportunities available for international talents. The session provided a crucial platform for dialogue, allowing students to directly inquire about skill requirements, workplace culture, and future development prospects.

This immersive program not only broadened the international students' horizons regarding China's advanced manufacturing and industrial ecosystem but also effectively connected their academic learning with practical industrial applications, paving a potential path for future international talent recruitment and cultivation.
