On November 15, 2025, the Overseas Education College (OEC) successfully organized an academic seminar for international students titled "Understanding the Educational Philosophy of President Xi Jinping," under the theme: "A Critical Reflection on My Country’s Educational System Through Inspirations from China’s Experiences." The event was held at the Sanjiang Hall of the Qingjiao Apartment Complex at the university.

The seminar was attended by several dignitaries who also served as the panel of judges for the presentations: Lu Lilin, Director, Foreign Affairs Department, Zhenjiang Municipal Government, Wang Limin, OEC-CPC Branch Secretary, Feng Yun, Deputy Director, International Office, Wang Bin, OEC-CPC Branch Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean, Gao Yifan, Associate Professor, School of Marxism, Yang Yijun, Lecturer, School of Teacher Education.

In her opening remarks, Wang Limin highlighted that the seminar serves as a crucial platform for testing learning achievements and promoting cross-cultural exchanges. The event aimed to focus on multiple perspectives to understand the achievements of China's education reform and development in the new era, Share Chinese educational philosophy and experience with the global academic community, and Promote China's educational achievements to the world.

Five teams were selected to present at the seminar, each focusing on different language groups—Arabic, Spanish, English, French, and Russian—in light of important remarks made by President Xi Jinping on education. Discussions covered a range of contemporary educational topics, including: Educational Innovation and Reform in Morocco: Lessons from Xi Jinping’s Educational Philosophy, Adapting Xi Jinping’s Educational Philosophy to Cuban Socialism: “Culture, Science & Work”, The Development of Education as a National Priority, Transforming West Africa’s Education with Pan-West African Educational Development Entity (PWAEDE), and Reflection on the Russian Educational System through the Lens of Xi Jinping's Educational Philosophy.

Following a thorough assessment of all presentations by the panel of judges, the following awards were presented: One First-Place Award, One Second-Place Award, One Third-Place Award and Two Participation Awards. The Winning teams were presented with honorary certificates and copies of the book "Xi Jinping Educational Philosophy" translated into various languages.

Wang Limin concluded the event by expressing sincere appreciation to the judges, participants, and organizers, particularly the China-Africa Relationship Think-Tank (CART) and the Postgraduate Club (PGClub), as well as the volunteers, for their remarkable support. She expressed hope that the audience would apply the knowledge gained to their respective home countries.
