The competition attracted 40 participants from 17 countries, including Algeria, Bangladesh, Botswana, and China. Focusing on core themes such as dam safety, ecological protection, application of smart technologies, and climate change response, the contestants actively responded to the World (Chengdu) Declaration. They promoted the concepts, technologies, and practices of safe, ecological, and smart dams by popularizing dam science knowledge, disseminating scientific thinking, and advocating scientific methods, contributing to regional cooperation and building a closer-knit community with a shared future for humanity. EMAN YASSER stood out with her entry titled "Predicting and Mitigating Hydraulic System Wear for Enhanced Dam Safety using CFD-DEM," demonstrating solid theoretical expertise and clear presentation skills, which earned high praise from the judging panel.

Following the competition, the Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute sent a letter of appreciation to our university, expressing high recognition and sincere gratitude for the strong support provided in the organization of the event and the outstanding performance of our student. The letter stated that the successful hosting of the competition fully reflects the university's significant achievements in cultivating water resources talent, injecting new vitality into promoting scientific cooperation and knowledge sharing in the field of dam safety among Belt and Road countries.

On October 25, EMAN YASSER HUSSEIN GABALLA was invited to make a presentation again at the International Seesion of the 2025 China Water Academic Congress.

This year's competition provided a high-level platform for dialogue among young water resources talents from various countries, effectively promoting knowledge sharing and technical collaboration in the field of water resources security within the Belt and Road initiative.(OEC)
