The 1st JSU International Alumni Forum was Held
On October 15, The 1st Jiangsu University International Alumni Forum was held at academic auditorium. Prof. Cai Yingfeng, Vice President of JSU, along with leaders from JSU Alumni Association and Overseas Education College (OEC), attended the event. More than 700 Chinese and international students participated in, and nearly 100 alumni attended the forum online via Zoom. The forum was chaired by Wang Limin, Secretary of OEC CPC Branch.


In her address, Prof. Cai Yingfeng highlighted that the forum provided a platform to share valuable experiences and insights in alumni work, reflecting JSU’s open and inclusive international education philosophy. She emphasized that international alumni are not only ambassadors of the university but also important bridges for cultural exchange and cooperation between China and the world. She encouraged alumni to stay connected with the university, support its development, and carry forward JSU’s motto of Knowledge, Truth, and Virtue, contributing to the growth of the global alumni network and promoting Chinese culture internationally.

Prof. Li Guohao, Director of JSU Alumni Association, provided an overview of JSU’s alumni work, noting that the university maintains multi-level, multi-channel connection with alumni. He encouraged international alumni to actively participate in building a dynamic, supportive, and connected global alumni community.

Four outstanding alumni from Ghana, Cameroon, and Pakistan, including Dr. Eric Yaw Naminse, Associate Professor at School of Economics and Management, Beibu Gulf University; Dr. Joseph Jonathan Magoua, Assistant Professor at College of Economics and Management, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; Dr. Sheikh Farhan Ashraf, Post-Doctoral Fellow at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies; and Dr. Selorm Yao-Say Solomon Adade, Lecturer at College of Ocean Food and Biological Engineering, Jimei University shared their experiences in academic research, career development, and cross-cultural communication, drawing on their studies at JSU and professional work at other Chinese universities. They emphasized that JSU’s academic environment and rich practical opportunities laid a solid foundation for personal growth and inspired them to contribute to alumni network building and international academic and professional exchange.




The forum also featured video addresses from Dr. Adeleke Olandapo Banwo, Director of JSU Overseas Alumni Association branch in Nigeria, and Ghanaian alumni Dr. Ethel Yiranbon Annor-Tenkorang and Mr. Carlos Asiedu Ocran, who shared their personal experiences and career development journeys while expressing gratitude for JSU’s ongoing support for international alumni.



Prof. Cai Yingfeng presented certificates and promotion bags to keynote speakers, while Prof. Wu Peng, Dean of the OEC, awarded certificates to the 2025 Active JSU international Alumni.






In the end, the alumni enthusiastically interacted with the on-site audience and answered students' questions regarding academics, campus life, job-hunting, and other related aspects.
