Jiangsu University 11th Int'l Culture Fest.

Jiangsu University has done it again! Bringing 27 countries across the world to showcase and embrace diversified culture. Jiangsu University names it the "11th International Culture Festival". On May 15th, JSU created a thrilling and cerebral experience to “Communicate, Connect and Cooperate”.

OEC Vice Dean Cai Zhaohui introduced the guests and leaders. Prof. Yan Xiaohong (Jiangsu University President) gave opening speech, highlighting the JSU's progress (contributions to Belt and Road Initiative, Online and Offline learning system integration, University Academic Ranking) of the University despite the pandemic.

Mr. John Kwasi Boakye (Ghana Minister, Ag. Head of Mission), Mr. Banda Geoffrey (Zambia Minister Counsellor), Ms. Precious Kawocha (Zimbabwe Counsellor), and representative of entrepreneurs - Mr. Li Tie (Chairman of CAMCO Equipment Co. Ltd) also delivered their speeches to commemorate the event.

Prof. Zhao Yutao (Vice President of Jiangsu University) made the announcement for the opening of 11th ICF and announced the Winners of "My Beautiful Moments in China" Photography Competition.Their amazing photographs were also showcased in the photography exhibition of the event.Spectacular oriental group songs, duet, fashion walk and cultural dances spiced-up the show with energetic Step-Up, break dance and Hip-Hop that got everyone entertained, waist-wining and appreciating the various performers.

Participating countries, made the event colorful with varieties of paraphernalia showcasing their customs coupled with cultural artifacts, traditional clothing, food exhibition, to mention but a few. Some sang and danced in their tents to entertain local people and others in other to connect them so that they had a feel of their unique cultures. ICF, 2021 left an inerasable and memorable trail as intercultural moments and experiences were shared among JSUers.

Business managers, innovators and chief executive officers including Mr. Li Tie (Chairman of CAMCO Equipment Co. Ltd) highlighted their achievements, current projects and investment interests in Pakistan, Zambia, Kenya, Malawi and Cameroon and other countries represented at this year event.

Quite enlightened questions and answers on innovation, investments for renewable energy and technology transfer and the role of international students were raised. The second session was finally declared successful and closed. In fact, the response and interactions of the entire student populace established that the day was much treasured with high esteem, unity and joy.
