To further deliver positive energy among the entire JSU students and as a part of campus livelihood, Jiangsu University organized the 2021 campus marathon which was open to all JSU students, staff and OECians. Series of attractive andoutstanding performances were observed in a grand style that adorned the entire marathon.

Exactly at 8:30 am, the gun was shot and the marathon fully began. All participants were marked with different colors of outfit: lemon-green, orange and blue according to the types of run. Participants made their way from the forecourt of thenew library, across the road behind the C and G blocks, up the incline near canteen 6 and Jing building then past the Jing pitch towards the library which served as the finish line. For 3km participants it was one walking lap, 3 laps for 8km runners and 6 laps for 16km runners. On the sidelines were supporters holding up banners, cheering and offering relentless encouragement to runners.

Notably, many OECians participated in this year’s marathon demonstrating sportsmanship and excellence. The marathon was so much fun that there were other people who partook just toencourage all about fitness concious andnot prizes.

Tari, Yolandani, Marcia, Perceive, Safa and Faith also propelled to complete the female 8 kilometers run. The male 8 kilometers run ended with Eyeson and Joeboy appearing among the top ten followed by other male OECians who all did a very great job.

However, quite a few OECians such as Sulley-苏欢, Vignesh, Geoffrey, Akhlaq and Rilwanu, displayed an unabated sense of bravery by daring and finishing the intimidating 16km marathon (6 laps). Sulley-苏欢 successfully completed the gruelling race to the finish line and secured 2nd position in the male category after a famous alumni athlete of JSU appeared 1st and another Chinese student appeared 3rd.
