On September 19, 2021, Jiangsu University organized an activity themed "Chinese and Foreign Students Welcome Mid-Autumn Festival by Making Moon Cakes". Foreign students from Bangladesh, Mexico, Tanzania, Nigeria and other countries made moon cakes with Chinese students, learned Mid-Autumn festival customs, experienced Chinese traditional culture and welcomed the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.

The fillings were rolled by hands, which gave the participants a feeling of engagement into what making a moon cake was like. The fillings were then placed into the knitted dough waiting to be baked. Everyone were agitated in tasting the mooncake.

Meanwhile, the participants had a game to pass the time. Here they were asked asked to form a circle ready to play a game of scrabble designed for the Mid-Autumn celebration. The game is based on a Mid-Autumn poem talking about the natural beauty of mid autumn. A ball was passed and if it landed on you, then you will be given a task to do. Gifts were shared at the end of the game. The moon cake arrived after 20 minutes, you could see the excitement on the faces of the participants, who were all ready to taste the sweet smelling moon cake. It was neatly packed and then shared.
