Jiangsu University opened up registration for international freshmen as we start up a new semester this Autumn 2021. As always, smiles of freshmen enlightened the JSU campus again!

On the 9th September, Jiangsu University scheduled registration for its international freshmen. The registration took place at the Overseas Education College and was programmed to be morning and afternoon sessions on the same day. Due to the current state amidst COVID-19, the registration was a combination of offline registration for domestic freshmen and online registration for overseas freshmen.

OEC staff and volunteers managed to create an easy fast-track registration process which was also in accordance with pandemic prevention and control. Overseas Education College arranged an 11-step registration for freshmen registration which includes academic registrations, physical examination, residence permit, accommodation etc.

Jiangsu University President Prof. Yan Xiaohong also visited the freshmen registration site and welcomed the new faces of JSU. He talked enthusiastically with foreign students to understand their study and life after arriving at the University. He hoped that they would integrate into the new environment as soon as possible with the help of teachers and classmates.

At the same time, he also encouraged international students to cherish the precious opportunity to study in Jiangsu University, focus on their studies, actively participate in social events, become international talents as soon as possible, and contribute to friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries. Representatives of international students presented flowers to Prof. Yan Xiaohong, thanked the school for its care for all international students, and expressed teachers day greetings.

During the coming week, freshmen will undergo a series of orientation to understand their campus life, academic plans etc. We warmly welcome all new overseas students and hope you enjoy your stay here!
