On October 7th, 2021, Jiangsu University Overseas Alumni Association branches in Ghana and Pakistan were inaugurated under the guidance and supervision of the main Alumni Association of the University on a virtual platform.

Present at the event were JSU President Prof. Yan Xiaohong, JSU Vice President Prof. Zhao Yutao, the OEC Dean Prof. Gao Jing, the Director of JSU Overseas Alumni Association and OEC Executive Deputy Secretary Associate Prof. Huang Ting, the Vice-Dean of OEC Dr. Cui Yong, the Alumni management team, Alumni leaders and other invited personalities.

Associate Prof. Huang Ting reported on the organization and plans for the association. She further gave a brief account of how she worked closely with the alumni management team in the past few months to supervise the process of the establishment of the association in Ghana and Pakistan and strategies to open new branches in other countries.

Prof. Gao Jing the OEC Dean officially announced the approval of the association branches in Ghana and Pakistan and the nominated leaders.

The certificates of appointment of the association leaders were displayed on the screen by the Vice-President of the University Prof. Zhao Yutao.

The Honorable Chairman of the Ghana Alumni branch Prof. Bashiru Saeed and the Chairman of the Pakistan Alumni branch Dr. Mian Khuram Ahsan presented outstanding speeches on behalf of their team. Both of them gave an assurance to work hard for the benefit of the entire alumni community.

Finally, the President of the University Prof. Yan Xiaohong congratulated all the leaders for their new appointment and indicated the University’s readiness to work with them to ensure win-win cooperation. He further encouraged them to work hard to support the alumni community and the Alma matter.
