Jiangsu University International student Mr. Hanudhanaraja Balasubramaniam Pillai received Third Prize in the "China and Me, Five Years from Now" storytelling contest which is hosted jointly by China Daily and the Bank of China.

The contest, which began in May, received a total of 138 entries from students and expatriates from more than 30 countries and regions, including 102 written works and 36 videos.

The entrant has shared his story, writing down what they have seen, heard and felt as he study and live in China. His love for this country and the high hopes they have for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) beam forth in every word.

In his essay, he shared the experience of studiying, living and traveling in China, along with opportunities showered by Jiangsu University and China. He stressed that his medical study in Jiangsu University would be the most unforgettable experience. In the most difficult stage of Chinese learning, the school language teacher gave him great support and encouragement, which made him deeply fall in love with Chinese. At the end of the article, he wrote: "the days in China always inspire me and are the driving force for me to move forward. I love China!"
